Clive James to be honoured at Bafta TV awards !!!

Creator, faultfinder and telecaster Clive James is to be respected at the Bafta TV grants in London later.

The tribute, to be driven by author and telecaster Charlie Brooker, will incorporate a short film highlighting a portion of the 75-year-old's best-known work.

James got a Bafta Special Award not long ago.

In 2010 he was diagnosed with terminal leukemia. Amanda Berry, Bafta CEO, called him an "unbelievable ability".

James, she included, was "an incredible impact on numerous working in TV today" and "a warm, witty and learned moderator whose projects [have] left a distinctive impact on such a large number of viewers, myself included."

Conceived in Sydney, Australia, James was instructed at Sydney University and Cambridge, where he was president of the Footlights dramatizations club.

He started his profession as a writer with The Observer in 1972 and went on present innumerable TV arrangement and specials.

He composed his first self-portrayal in 1979 and tailed it with more articles, books and, all the more as of late, verse.

"Unavoidably, you begin saying farewell," he told BBC Radio 4's Today program.

In 2014 he was granted the President's Medal of the British Academy.

The British Academy Television Awards will be facilitated by Graham Norton at the Theater Royal Drury Lane in London.

The occasion will likewise see maker and author Jeff Pope get an extraordinary grant and Channel 4 News writer Jon Snow get a Bafta Fellowship.

The function will be show on BBC One and BBC One HD from 20:00 BST.
