PU Board, Karnataka has decided to provide five grace marks for
English exam for students who attempted three questions in the II-year
PU English-language paper.
The three questions that have been talked about are:
Question No. 1(10): One mark;
Question No. 26: Three marks;
Question No.30: One mark
The answer key released for the English paper had errors, following which there were a lot of protests. The lecturers and teachers refused to evaluate the sheets, as well. Ravindra Ritti, Joint Director of the B Board, said that the grace marks are being provided as the punctuations and grammar in the three questions were wrong. Thereafter, the teachers returned back to continue the evaluation process.
This year, a lot of other errors have also been found in the evaluation process of various Board exams. In UP Board, Hindi teachers are found to be checking the Mathematics paper. In Bihar, the examiners fail to spell simple works like 'Shakespeare' and 'Mathematics'. Also, students have pasted a 100 Rs note with the answer sheets, to help them pass the exam.
